In the past 3 years, Klaus Wachter
has played a decisive role in shaping the fate of SCAUT as its Managing
Director. He took over SCAUT at a very early stage and has significantly
advanced SCAUT through many initiatives, projects, round tables, workshops and
events. The increasing number of members, the interest and the recognition
SCAUT receives in the media and the industry are largely due to him.
Klaus Wachter has decided to take a
further step in his professional career and will therefore relinquish his
mandate as Managing Director of SCAUT at the end of June 2021.
The Steering board regrets this step
very much but can understand it. It thanks Klaus Wachter for his great
commitment and dedication as Managing Director of SCAUT and wishes him all the
best.
We are pleased to present Rosanne
Verloop, a motivated, committed and competent successor to Klaus Wachter. Ms.
Verloop holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the Technical
University of Delft (The Netherlands) and is active in various international
organizations, such as the Committee on Underground Space Use (ITACUS) of the
International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA). She will take
over the mandate as of July 1, 2021 and will also work part-time.
The Steering board is looking forward to working
with Ms. Verloop and is convinced that together with her SCAUT will continue to
develop positively.
